Frequently asked questions
What if my computer goes to sleep?
It won't ring. The alarm needs the device on and the browser open. If your browser supports Wake Lock, we enable the screen lock automatically to prevent this. If it doesn't (iPhone, old Safari), we show you a warning.
How long should a nap last?
Between 10 and 20 minutes is ideal to recover alertness without entering deep sleep. NASA recommends exactly 20 minutes. If you sleep more than 30 minutes, you wake up with sleep inertia and feel worse for a while.
What is a coffee nap?
You drink a coffee, set an alarm for 20 minutes, and nap. When the alarm rings, the caffeine is starting to take effect. It is the perfect combination: light sleep clears adenosine and caffeine blocks the remaining receptors.
